Yoga & Ayurveda Foundation Course

This YOGA & AYURVEDA CERTIFICATE COURSE will take place online and run regularly throughout the year. There will also be an option to consolidate learning in person once it is safe to do so.  We will meet via Zoom for 2 hours a week on a Sunday morning for 6 weeks. This course can also be undertaken on a 1:1 basis at times/dates to suit you (additional fees apply).

This 12 hour certificate course is designed for yoga teachers from any background or tradition who already have a working knowledge of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha etc. It can also be undertaken by yoga practitioners who wish to use the knowledge acquired for their personal self-care.

This unique course will teach you how Ayurveda (also known as Traditional Indian Medicine) can take your practice of yoga to a whole new level. Things you will learn include:

  • How to assess mind-body types according to ayurvedic medicine

  • How to create bespoke yoga practices for your students/clients based on ayurvedic principles such as the 5 elements

  • How to design a self-care programme which includes being able to make suggestions regards diet, exercise and living optimally for your mind-body type

  • How to work seasonally and design classes for Spring, Summer, Winter and Autumn

  • How to deliver 1:1 therapy

  • Understanding ethics and boundaries involved in working 1:1

  • How to develop your professional practice and market your unique service

  • Opportunity to train further as a Five Seasons Yoga Therapist 

This course is insured via Wellbeing Insurance and can count towards a training hours hours via The Independent Yoga Network.
